Magnetic component manufacturer LinkCom (6821) is actively expanding the application scope of its magnetic components. In addition to its existing presence in the telecom sector, the company is now collaborating with clients to develop humanoid robots. LinkCom revealed that samples in this segment have already been delivered to clients for testing.
According to LinkCom, the humanoid robot market is currently in the incubation stage. Market data shows that global shipments of humanoid robots were under 100 units last year, but this figure is expected to rise to nearly 1,000 units this year, with explosive growth projected for next year. Magnetic components are widely used in humanoid robot circuitry, playing crucial roles in power drive, magnetic isolation, voltage control, energy management, and communication, all relying on their inherent properties for efficient operation.
Power systems, in particular, are of critical importance. With in-house power development and design capabilities, LinkCom has long promoted high-power, high-reliability solutions for industrial applications. The company has developed integrated power modules to reduce PCB area and cost, while also utilizing gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies to improve conversion efficiency and power density.
Looking ahead, LinkCom sees growing opportunities in the power supply market as the application scenarios for humanoid robots continue to expand. The company is already engaged in close discussions with clients in the robotics field, and as related business opportunities mature, this area is expected to become a new growth driver for LinkCom.
In February, LinkCom reported revenue of NT$33 million, a year-on-year increase of 35.57%. Cumulative revenue for the first two months reached NT$85 million, up 9.13% from the same period last year. Full-year revenue for 2024 was NT$566 million, up 2.1%, with an EPS of NT$1.19.
