LinkCom (TWSE: 6821) today announced the release of its FT12112AR DC/DC transformer. Designed for Forward converter topology, the transformer is intended for the secondary power conversion stage in Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems, meeting the requirements for 2A single-channel bias power and 120W-class output power.
FT12112AR Specifications and Features
Developed for high-power PoE applications, the FT12112AR offers the following key specifications:
Electrical Output Specifications:
Supports a primary-side DC input voltage range of 33 V to 57 V, with a rated secondary output of 12 V / 10 A, delivering up to 120 W of output power.
Low DC Resistance (DCR):
To minimize thermal effects under high-current operation, the maximum DCR is 9 mΩ for the primary winding and 2.2 mΩ for the secondary winding. The low-resistance design helps reduce I²R copper losses.
Isolation Voltage and Operating Temperature:
Provides 2250 Vdc isolation between the primary and secondary windings (test conditions: 3 seconds / 1 mA). The operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C, meeting industrial-grade temperature requirements.
Package Dimensions:
Built with an EQI20 magnetic core in a surface-mount (SMD) package, featuring a maximum footprint of 24 × 22 mm and a profile height of less than 10 mm.
