Linkcom Electronics (6821, TPE) today announced the launch of a new planar transformer LFT12112AR. This transformer is designed to meet high-power (>100W) thin (<10mm) solutions for medium and low voltage conversion, such as converters in distributed power architectures. Compared with the previous generation LPD series, the LFT series products eliminate the multi-layer PCB coil design, making the cost more advantageous. In recent years, the trend of discrete DC/DC power modules using embedded designs has driven strong growth in the planar magnetics market.
